Fragmentary Coptic Textile

Description	A woven Coptic textile in black and natural wool. The design, a row of roundels with central star motif and the remains of a square panel to one side. The fragment is mounted in a glazed clip-frame.
Condition	Fragment. Some discolouration.
Date	6th-7th Century AD
Dimensions	The fragment is 6 1/4 inches (16cm) by 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm) maximum.
PROVENANCE	"Propety of a Gentleman" sold through Bonham's October 2000.
