| Description | Majiayao/Yangshao Culture Qijia phase. This culture was based in the Gansu/Qinghai provinces, China and flourished during the transitional period between the Neolithic and Bronze ages. As with all pottery of this period and location, the vessel was built up by hand from the base and fired in simple pits. |
